Northern Lights Promise
Experiencing the Northern Lights is the cherry on top of any Norwegian adventure, and we’re so confident you’ll witness the spectacular phenomenon during your journey, we’re making you a promise: if the lights don’t show up, your next voyage is on us—free of charge.
From 1 October to 31 March, sail with us on the 12-day Round Voyage, and we promise the magical Aurora Borealis will make an appearance. If nature plays shy and the lights don’t grace the skies on your trip, you’ll receive a complimentary 6- or 7-day voyage on us. Your choice: head northbound on our Voyage North from Bergen to Kirkenes, or sail southbound on our Voyage South from Kirkenes to Bergen. It’s our way of ensuring you get your Northern Lights moment, no matter what.
What you get
- Northern Light Promise on 12-day Round Voyage departures between 1 October and 31 March.
- If no Northern Lights, you get a free 6- or 7-day voyage (inside cabin).
- All meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

*The Northern Lights Promise applies to all passengers who have booked the Round Voyage Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen, departing between October 1 and March 31 .
The Northern Lights Promise is only valid if you have activated the Northern Lights warning system on board. The ship determines whether a Northern Lights event has occurred, regardless of weather conditions and actual visibility.
If the Northern Lights do not occur during your voyage, you will be given a new 6 or 7-day trip completely free of charge, either Voyage North or Voyage South, for the next season's Northern Lights Promise period (October 1 - March 31).
The Northern Lights Promise must be redeemed – and a new trip ordered – within one month of returning from your original trip. Cabin category (inside cabin) can be upgraded at an additional cost based on availability. The offer is only granted in the form of one free trip as described above and has no cash value. The voyage follows our SAVER fare conditions and cannot be changed.
